Dr Sunil Sarma passes away

Dr Sunil Sarma, former editor of the Jorhat based Daily “The Eastern
Clarion” breathed his last at a private nursing home in Jorhat on September
7. Apart from serving as a professor in Jorhat Commerce College and Assam
Agriculture University, Dr Sarma also worked as a Deputy General Manager in
IDBI.

He completed his post-graduation and Ph.D from Delhi School of Economics.

Meanwhile, Assam Chief minister Tarun Gogoi has offered his condolences and
expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members of Dr
Sarma.
