Prof. Appadurai is the President of the Board of Trustees of PUKAR. He is the John Dewey Professor in the Social Sciences at New School University in New York City, where he is also the Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs. He was born in Mumbai and continues to conduct a variety of research projects on this city and its relationship to globalization.
