Dear all,

We at Mute magazine (www.metamute.com) are collecting information on
self-organised educational attempts, spanning from self-institutions
(aka 'free universities' or 'anti-universities') to smaller groups and
research networks, to gain a wider perspective over current reactions
against the increasing commercialisation of educational institutions,
but also appraise the potential of alternatives. We are particularly
interested in finding out about groups that are not based in Western
Europe/North America. A feature on this topic will appear in the next
issue of Mute (M28) coming out late in May.

We would be very grateful indeed if you could add your
suggestions/contacts/knowledge to the related wiki page:
http://docs.metamute.com/view/Home/SelfInstitutionsEdu. You can add
names of organisations, web links, or create new pages with additional
information if you like. This can be done after you create a user name
and password on http://docs.metamute.com/view/TWiki/TWikiRegistration.
Alternatively, email your info to demetra at metamute.com or
ben at metamute.com, as soon as you can.

Thank you very much!

- all at Mute
