Dr. Rosie Llewellyn-Jones 
Dr. Rosie Llewellyn-Jones holds a doctorate in History from the School
of Oriental and African Studies. Earlier, she received a B.A. (Hons)
degree in Urdu. She is the editor of Chowkidar, the journal of the
British Association for Cemetries in South Asia. She has published
some major studies on Awadh, among them are "Fatal Friendship – the
Nawabs, the British and the City of Lucknow", "Engaging Scoundrels –
True Tales of Old Lucknow". Dr. Jones is currently researching the
portrait of the Nizam of Hyderabad for a forthcoming book to be
published by Marg.
