Subject: Fellowships available for Summer Art Theory Institute, Chicago
Dear colleagues,
This is to announce the first annual Stone Summer Theory Institute,
with the subject "Globalism in Art": one week of intensive seminars,
lectures, and panel discussions, July 16-21, School of the Art
Institute, Chicago.
Faculty include Fredric Jameson, Susan Buck-Morss, Shigemi Inaga, Harry
Harootunian, and Thomas DaCosta Kaufmann. The event is co-organized by
James Elkins and Zhivka Valiavicharska.
Fifteen Fellows will be admitted on a competitive basis; full tuition
remission, travel, and accommodation grants are available. Faculty and
advanced graduate students are invited to apply; send a two-page letter
describing your research interests, along with a CV and any relevant
texts, published or unpublished, to conferences at imagehistory.org.
Deadline May 15.
