Now that is an interesting question. For non-Indians on this list who
demand translation, it is a Hindi saying, literally: what's bigger,
brains or a buffaloes?

Now that's a rhetorical way of calling someone a dodo.

Curiously, it used to be a joke in school - "Akal badi ya bhains? Darwaza!"

Neither brains nor buffaloes, but a door.

That answer makes further nonsense of the nonsense.

I recently asked the question on my Facebook. Akal badi ya bhains?
Somebody said 'your ass' and somebody said 'bhains ki akal' - a
buffalo's brain.

Some food for thought, if not bullshit.
