Dilip Gaonkar is Associate Professor of Communication Studies at
Northwestern University. He is also the Executive Editor of Public
Culture and Co-Director of the Centre for Transcultural Studies,
Chicago. His publications include: (ed. with Cary Nelson)
Disciplinarity and Dissent in Cultural Studies (Routledge, 1996); "The
Idea of Rhetoric in the Rhetoric of Science" in Rhetorical
Hermeneutics (ed. Alan Gross and William Keith, SUNY Press, 1996).
