Hi Tapas and all. This is how politics works, period.  not only in our 
country but all over the world where austentations of democracy are there, 
political parties tend to pander to those groups that are not considered 
their support base. You shouldn't be surprised if some BJP government 
implements reservations in jobs for the minorities and Mayavati does the 
same for the "upper castes".
