[Reader-list] Thinking Through Figures on...

Dear Kirdar,

With all due respect, I honestly have nothing to prove to anybody
least all of all to the swarms of suffering KPs that populate this
list. I do not see why i should denounce this or that, make statements
in favour of this or that. I have been called terrorist-sympathizer
and much worse on this list, it bothers me not in the least. I am not
a public person, I do not hold public office, I am not a leader of any
movement, no one's life or work depends on me. I have therefore not
taken any thekka to pledge my support for the cause of the day. I
write about what I feel like and respond to what I feel like.

Unlike Aditya and Pawan who seem to suffer from a form of what could
be called "social Tourette's syndrome" (look it up kids), and need
constant and ever-increasing affirmation of their worth by thrusting
their wounded battered selves into our weary consciousnesses, I have
no such insecurities and fantasies.

I appreciate your attempting to resolve this, but you will soon
realise that the wounds on poor Aditya and Pawan are about the size of
a meteor's crater which mere human intervention can never hope to
fill. We would need Lord Krishna himself to chuck an inverted
Govardhan in as band-aid.

Good luck in your ministering efforts regardless.

best
Aarti
