Dear Friends,
Over the past two months, we have witnessed the unfolding of a financial
crisis, which first surfaced within the United States and has since then
spread across the world. This is being
widely held as the biggest crisis to hit the advanced capitalist countries
since the Great Depression
of the 1930s. The present crisis is expected to have serious implications
for the advanced economies
as well as the developing countries; for the international financial
architecture; and also for the process
of globalisation. In order to discuss these issues a Symposium is being
organised by
Anveshan, Delhi Science Forum & Economic Research Foundation.
