Hi all,

I'm forwarding along a request from a friend in New York who is looking for
interesting articles on South Asian "millenials." Here's how describes it:
"the project I'm working on is an anthology of texts meant to be a kind of
journalistic snapshot portrait of the "Millenial" generation. It's part of
the exhibition catalogue for the New Museum's forthcoming triennial of
international artists under the age of 33, which is loosely about the idea
of generations. (My anthology will also include a few foundational
sociological texts about the concept of generations.) I have articles on the
class makeup of the American military; young women fighting the government
in secular Turkey to be allowed to wear religious accountrements; the
disillusionment with radical Islam among Iraqi youth; questions about
publicness and privacy with regard to new technology; and arch-nationalist
youth groups in China, among others. I'm looking for something from India to
stand in for a broader network of things there, though of course I know that
the experiences of a generation in that country can't be so easily
summarized. (The mini anthology will also contain a bibliography where I can
include additional texts.)"

Any suggestions from list members?

Best regards,
Alex
