With lot more love,
I plead with Inder Salim, why should we ignore Aditya, hindu society unlike any other community is open for all thoughts, it has reformed itself from within unlike other faiths.
With more love, let me point out the system of Sati, was at the time of invaders of mogul army was social necessity for women, who were finding the rape and subjugation more horrendous than hot burning oil to jump into. When the invaders were vanquished, the sati practise was also abandoned, by the hindu society from within, the reforms came from within, with reformers like raja ram Mohan Roy.
Reformers like Swami Vivekananda accepeted the good thoughts from bible and any good scripture, wanted the youth to take steps to equality in thoughts and action, when caste was the factor which was negating the growth of hindu society. British rule and later the Nehru rule saw that the hindu society was reduced to minority in real sense, with caste divisions, caste lords, fuedal lords ruling the day. Hindu society, thanks to inequity in present "secular" rule has realised that united we stand, we get justice and good governance.

If some of the journalists in hindu names do not like BJP and RSS, it is their selfish intention that is to the fore. As to hindus, they will know how to change the leadership if it does not deliver good to society. Strong unified society is always good in life as other communities dare not mess up, will not have the guts to be mishcief. As can be seen now, muslim and christian communities can create havoc after just action against criminals because of their unity. Hindus are not like this, if some one has been wrong, they do not hesitate to correct him within society, that is the main reason, for hindu society to be reformed and now that caste differences are on decline, society more united, some in media and politics raise the bogey of communalism, ? In actual practise, it was Congress which thrived on "communal " votes and continued to play with vote bank politics

BJP and RSS seem to evoke fear in the minds of apologists of "secular" parties because these live on benefits of divided polity. Better would be for these apologists, to take up leadership in hindu society and make efforts for the reforms and change. When "pandits" of kashmir were vistims, refugees in their own nation, not even a Nehru, pandit himself had no guts to tackle the issue for the fear of hurting the muslim vote bank.

All segments of society should be united and strong and then there will be mutual respect and then the unity will give better life and prosperity to all in society. none will respect weak segments of society.

Hindus will have to make more efforts to accommodate the individuals from all castes for better life so that new life missionaries will not have scope to lure them.

   More love..
