[Reader-list] Arundhati Roy's interview on BBC Urdu

Dear Rahul
 
There are limits to intellect and consequently the heights one can achieve. There is no such limitation on idiocy of the kind exemplified by "Blowback" Arundhati Roy.
 
If I can find time over the next few days, I will try and prepare an English transcript of this interview.
 
For now, typical of her and her kind of people who advocate 'destroy' without having an answer for 'what after that', here is an excerpt from the ending of the interview after she has badmouthed Democracy  in India.
 
Q: What should be done? These are the only two options, either Dictatorship or Democracy. Where else can one hope for according to you?
 
Arundhati: I do not have any solution. I do not know what lIfe after Democracy will be, but I feel organically something .... something will happen because the fabric is tearing
