Unfair?  Missing the point?  Certainly, probably.  But certainly in 
keeping with Alexander's own take that the inaugural poem should not be 
about her or Obama but about democracy.  And with the wide availability 
and popularity of recordings, it certainly helps to inaugurate new 
formal possibilities for poetry:
