Dear Nagaraj

Many many thanks for this article you posted. I had met Mr. Balgaopal only
once in a PUCL meeting here at Chennai, and was quite impressed with his
views. In particular, his ideas on law and freedom were quite good,
particularly in the context of Naxalism and the Mecca Masjid blasts, which
was the topic he spoke on.

If we really wish to pay a tribute to him, it would be an honour by
practicing ourselves the one principle he himself focused upon: we are
responsible towards the other fellow human beings as well. If we can just
remember this and follow it up with our actions, it would be enough of a
tribute to the departed soul.
