I recently recorded a podcast interview with Anand Patwardhan, whose documentaries, for the past thirty years have highlighted political and controversial issues in India.  He has waged decade long battles with the censor board in his bid to get his documentaries to be aired on National Television.  Raam Ke Naam, Father, son and the holy war and War and Peace are some of his well known documentaries amongst others.

In this interview Anand talks about his documentaries and what activism means to him apart from some invaluable insights on patriotism and matriarchy....
