The Akanksha Foundation (NGO) 
(http://www.facebook.com/the.akanksha.foundation) is a non-profit 
organization incepted 20 years ago and focuses on educating less 
privileged children to enable them to lead empowered lives.

The Akanksha Foundation has tied up with Kodak for a photo contest 
called the 'Joy of going to school'. The objective of this initiative 
is to pictorially establish the importance for children to learn and 
the Right to Education.

To participate: email pictures accompanied with a caption (max 100 
words) to: kodakclicks at akanksha.org

Last Date of submission: December 25th, 2010

Parameters for judging: ethics of the images, aesthetics, composition, 
the story, emotional appeal & images that grab the attention.

Judges: Sooni Taraporvala (Photographer & Screen Writer) & Madhavan 
Pillai (Editor - Better Photography)

Winners:
Will be announced in the first week of January, 2011.
12 chosen pictures will be used in the Akanksha & Kodak co-branded 
calendars for 2011.
3 best entries will get a Kodak Digital frames worth Rs.11,000 each.
