Rashtriya Swayayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat today sought
re-settlement of displaced Kashmiri Pandits and demanded creation of a
favourable atmosphere for their return to the valley. "It is
unfortunate that Kashmiri Pandits have been ousted from their houses
and they are living as refugees in their own country since last 20
years, which is not the case anywhere in the world," Bhagwat said at a
book release function here.

He said about three lakh Kashmiri Pandits are living in exile and now
the government is talking about their return. "But it would be
possible if government provides them adequate security.

Otherwise they will will face lot of problem and will be forced to
give up Hindu religion. Centre never thought of Kashmiri Pandits and
never created a conducive environment for their safe return," the RSS
chief alleged.

He earlier released a book "Mission Kashmir" written by journalist
Ravindra Dani. BJP national president Nitin Gadkari and former JK
Governor Lt Gen S K Sinha were also present.

He stated that India was under a "wrong impression" to assume that the
United States will assist it in solving the Kashmir issue. The US is
interested in only using Kashmir as a base to counter China.

Their motives have always been selfish, he alleged. .
