Halabol is a new social initiative undertaken in the social sector to 
connect like minded people, non profits and corporate organizations on 
a common platform to bring in a positive social change in the country 
with the help of specific action tools. 
 
Halabol is looking for a Managing Editor to lead this social action 
network. 
 
The Managing Editor's role will be to become the site's editorial 
voice, defining its content strategy and building Halabol into the 
leading destination online for issue-based news, campaigns and actions. 
 
We are looking for someone who has experience in new media, thrives in 
a fastpaced environment, and is passionate about using the web to both 
inform and inspire people to take action. 
 
The Managing Editor will: 
 
• Establish and maintain site-wide content strategy and editorial tone; 
 
• Recruit editors and writers to create content/articles related to 
specific issues and launch nation-wide campaigns in tuned with 
Halabol's vision; 
 
• Manage his team, maintaining regular communication and editorial 
oversight and providing advice on everything from headlines to writing 
topics; 
 
• Moderating the activities of the site; 
 
• Maintain and expand relationships with advocacy groups, various 
online 
media organizations and the press; 
 
• Oversee strategy for marketing Halabol's content through 
relationships with 
other users and use of social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, 
etc; 
 
• Help craft overall company strategy with Halabol's management team 
and 
advise on special projects and campaigns. 
 
Halabol is a social entrepreneurship company passionate about using 
social media for social change. The Managing Editor will have 
significant influence over the vision of Halabol.com and will be 
working directly with Halabol's CEO on a daily basis to turn that 
vision into reality.
