Dear Shuddha

Calling it Pakistan Occupied Kashmir is as trite as calling another part Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Use of such tags has a place in propagandist essaying of the situation but does little towards increase in understanding of the realities of the present and the past of the 'Kashmir' issue, which is not of just the Kashmir Valley.

My comment is valid only if there is a serious interest and not a propagandist motive

Dear All,

This is jut to remind ourselves, (and all those who harbour illusions about Pakistan in Kashmir) that it isn't just IOK, that is occupied, POK is too.

See the excellent report (from 2006) by Human Rights Watch on the situation in the part of Kashmir occupied by Pakistan titled - 'With Friends Like These...Human Rights Violations in Azad Kashmir'

best,

Shuddha
