Today's Telegraph (Calcutta) reports:

Rickshaw licence

Fresh licences would be issued to hand-pulled rickshaws and carts,  
mayor Sovan Chatterjee announced on Wednesday. The CMC had stopped  
issuing licences in 2009.

(It may be recalled that on 15 Aug 2005, Chief Minister BUddhadev  
Bhattacharya had announced that rickshaws would be banned.)
