Dear friends of DOK Leipzig,

The new Czech training initiative DocIncubator and DOK Leipzig launch an
innovative training programme for the support of outstanding, artistic and
creative European documentaries which enter the crucial phase of editing,
post-production and distribution.

DOK.INCUBATOR
supporting documentary projects in the rough cut stage.
Application exclusively via DOK.Incubator. Deadline: 15 MAY 2012


Are you just editing an ambitious documentary for an international audience?
Do you look for fruitful creative input and a good release strategy?
Are you interested in new ways of promoting and distributing your film?

The DOK.Incubator workshop gives you individual support in the phase of
finishing your film. International tutors will guide you to find fresh ways
of thinking about editing, international film release, distribution,
sophisticated marketing and active work with your target audience.

Open to teams (producer, director and film editor) working on a strong
European documentary.

• 1st session – Rough Cut
July 2012 / Prague
focuses on the rough cut of your film and its international potential and
develops the first draft of the film release and the distribution strategy.

• 2nd session – Final Cut
September 2012 / Bratislava
helps to finalize the narrative structure of your  film,  provides feedback
from international professionals and helps you to design a detailed PR and
distribution strategy.

• 3rd session – Final Packaging
October / DOK Leipzig
presents an excerpt of your film at the DOK Leipzig film festival, offers
you individual meetings with key European broadcasters, sales agents,
festival selectors and distributors at the International DOK Leipzig
Co-production Meeting.

Deadline for project application: 15 May 2012 - APPLY NOW!
Fees:  No tuition fee.
Accommodation and meals of participants 1.400 € per project (3 people)

Deadline for observers  (participants without project):  MAY 30th, 2012

For application we request the following material in two copies each:
- Rough cut of the film (if you have no rough cut, please include edited
scenes and a rewritten proposal based on the
 material shot)
- Distribution strategy plan
- CVs of director, producer and editor, track record of their company/ies
- Basic information on the project – post-production timeline,
co-production partners, financing plan, broadcasters
 involved etc..
