I am happy to inform you that the 3rd Siliguri International Short & Documentary Film Festival is scheduled to be held from 12 to 14 October 2012 in Siliguri, the second largest city of West Bengal at the gateway of Darjeeling Himalayas in India. The festival is being successfully organized since 2009 by the Siliguri Cine Society with active supports from the Department of North Bengal Development Authorities Government of West Bengal, Siliguri Municipal Corporation, Dinabandhu Mancha Advisory Board and Federation of Film Societies of India. 

This time it will be a competitive festival with two competition sections - one for the International Entries and the other for the films from the North-Eastern Region of India including North Bengal. Films made in any format during the period 2010-12 within 30 minutes duration with English subtitles are eligible for the festival. Some selected films will also be there in Non-Competitive Section. For preview and final screening the festival needs two good quality DVDs of the film which should be reached at my following address positively before 31st August 2012. Title of the film, duration and director's name should be written on the other side of the discs. Intending participants should fill up the following entry-form and mail it back to <pmfilm at gmail.com> along with the profile picture of the director and a still of the film in high resolution JPG file attachments.
  
Please note that a Preview Committee will select the films for final screening and a Competent Jury will decide the award winning films from the Competitive Sections. Awards comprising of a diploma, a trophy and a token amount of cash will be conferred to the winners in a colorful function during the Siliguri International Film Festival (for feature films, as an extension of Kolkata Film Festival) in the third week November 2012.
