[Reader-list] Pakistan: Exodus of Sindhi Hindus in Discussion

Dear All: 
 
The families who left Pakistan yesterday,
according to Daily The Hindu, India, said at Attari border that majority of
them will not return to Pakistan. They talk also gave a feeling that they filed
affidavits because this was the only way they were been allowed to leave
Pakistan.
 
Pakistan is trying to hide its follies in the
shallow egoism of ‘country’s image.’ This is the time when a boldness is
required by the government to accept the realities most of the which are
blunders on the governance part.
 
In fact it is the security establishment of the
country that needs to change its mind for Hindus of Sindh, which are perceived to
be necessary enemies on the basis of two-nation theory. 
 
It is in the interest of Sindh that Hindus should
not leave. It is the prime duty of political parties in Sindh especially the
nationalists; civil society and the sane citizens to come forward and protect
the Hindus. If they don’t do this, then rest assured that Sindhihood and Sindhi
Sabhita has died. 
 
If Pakistan wants to avoid any worries associated to
its already tarnished image internationally, it should act quickly to create
security environment for Hindus in Sindh; otherwise, UN Covenants, Charters,
and Conventions are there for taking initiatives.
