Sindh Speaks on Hindu Exodus: United National Struggle against Forced Exodus
of Hindus Announced   
Sindh based nationalist parties, civil society groups and intellectuals
have announced launching a united national movement against forced exodus of
Hindus from Sindh. In a Sindh National Movement (SNM) hosted conference held on
August 17, 2012 in Hyderabad Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Sindh United Party
(SUP), Awami Tahreek (AT), Jeay Sindh Tehreek (JST), Awami Jamshoori Party
(AJP), Sindh Sagar Party (SSP), Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM - Riaz), Awami Party (AP)
and other groups; as well as civil society representatives including Advocate
Kalpana Devi, Mr. Jami Chandio, Mr. Zulfiqar Halepoto, Mr. Mahesh, Comrade Jam
Saqi, Mr. Punhal Saryo, Mr. Asad Chandio and others decided to launch a
movement.

Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz will hold March on 29 
Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) has announced to hold protest march on August
29 from Ghotki district headquarters to Pano Aqil city against the forced
migrations. Ghotki houses majority of the Hindu population from north Sindh and
exodus rate from there has been high during last two decades. 
 
New Laws for Minority Rights in Sindh 
Sindh Assembly will legislate over 3 laws on minorities. 24 minorities
committees would also be formed. 
 
Hindu Panchayat Launches Campaign on Sep 2 
Hindu Panchayat’s Provincial Consultative Meetings has decided to launch an
Awareness Campaigns from September 2 in the province

Mullah threatens of Bloodshed if Law Amended  
Ayub Jan Sarhandi, a religious zealot from Umerkot district Sindh, has been
involved in the conversion of many a Hindus from the province has threatened of
bloodshed consequences if laws concerning minorities were changed. 
 
The Province Protests   
Various protest marches, press conferences, dialogues, discussions and
meetings held across the province during last 4 days mostly organized by
various political parties especially nationalists, hindu community and civil
society organizations. 
 
Civil Society Opinion 
Various civil society organizations issue their policy statements regarding
the issue these included PPC, SDF, HRCP, PDSN, MEER, Sindh Net, PWT, KSO, ISM –
Pakistan and others.
