This is to remind you about the launch and discussion of Ranjani Padhi’s
new book 'Those Who Did Not Die' tomorrow at the Saheli office. We hope you

*Those Who did not Die: Impact of Agrarian Crisis on Women in Punjab*

by *Ranjana Padhi*

on *8th December 2012 at 3.30pm at Saheli Office.*



Written against the background of farmers suicides in Punjab the book
explores the issue through the voices of women survivors. The discussion
will be opened by *Uma Chakravarti* (Feminist Historian and Democratic
Rights Activist), followed by brief presentations on the book by *Subhash
Gatade* (Activist Writer) and *Nidhi Aggarwal *(Feminist and Forest
Dwellers Rights Activist). *Harshita* from Saheli will read some excerpts
from the book. *Ranjana’s* comments and responses will be followed by a
wider discussion on the issues raised in the book.
