Hello,

As a part of my work at BLPS, I have undertaken this MASSIVE project -
compiling a list of 500 must read books for school kids between the age
groups of 5 and 13. The idea is to make a list books that every Indian
child must read before he/she grows up.

For starters, I'd like you to email me a list of 10 books you read and
enjoyed reading as a kid. If you are a kid, so much the better. I've
already got tons of suggestions to include Roald Dahl, Enid Blyton and JK
Rowling to the list. And I have. So don't include those. If there is
anything else you enjoy/enjoyed reading, email me asap.

For those of you who'd like to be part of a longer (and therefore more
intensive and more fun) project, join the "Great Indian Children's
Literature Reading Project". Till date, there is no specific list of books
that every Indian child should read and it is up to us to make one. You
will have to:
 - Read a fun children's book a week :) Your book of choice can be a fairy
tale/ picture book/ classic... anything you want, (preferably an Indian
book)!
- Post your comments every Tuesday on the google group I have created so
that we can keep track of the changes.

Email me a confirmation and I will send you an invite to the Google groups.
:)

Looking forward to The Great Indian Children's Literature Reading Project!

Regards,
