Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to a major milestone in the
decade long modern journey of Dastangoi, the launch of the Dastangoi BOOK,
in Hindi and Urdu, published by Rajkamal and by Arshiya Publications
respectively, with support from the India Foundation of the Arts,
Bangalore. The program is given below--

Incidentally, this has turned out to be a huge fortnight for Dastangoi. Two
new Dastans that I have adapted:

*On the 31st of January*: For those in Calcutta, In a first for our journey
we present an adaptation of a MODERN novel in Dastangoi format, *Tagore's
Ghare Baire*.

*On the 12th of February*: To enliven barren Gurgaon, a repeat of our *Dastan-e
Chauboli*, the legendary Rajasthani folk story, based on the version
created by the great Vijaydan Detha.
