[Reader-list] Need for urgent solidarity action for anti-nuclear struggle in Fatehabad, Haryana

Dear Friends,



All of you are aware about the struggle against the proposed Nuclear power
plant at Gorakhpur, Dist: Fatehabad, Haryana. Kisan Sangharsh Samity which
is spearheading the struggle in Fatehabad is staging a continuous Dharana
which has been going on since more thus 500 days. In the process 3 farmers
have died in the Dharna spot.



A few days ago some of us visited Fatehabad and found that section 7 of the
land acquisition act has been notified. Farmers sitting in the Dharna told
us that approximately Rs. 1000 crore has already been sanctioned to
forcibly acquire land.



The Parliament is yet to pass the new land acquisition act, so this step of
Hariyana Govt. is quite arbitrary.



The threat of land acquisition is dangerously looming over the anti-nuclear
struggle in Fatehabad.



We request you to write to the Prime Minister and Haryana Chief Minister to
withdraw the land accusition notice and scrap the project.



Also it possible please organised some solidarity action for the Fatehabad
Anti-Nuclear Struggle.
