Teaser :

A group of publishers supported by the EU-CoE youth partnership is actually planning to publish a new annual series on youth policy, research and practice, called [Perspectives on Youth: European Youth Partnership Series]. For the first issue the editorial team has now published a CALL FOR PAPERS.

News :

The first issue of this new serie will focus on “2020 - what do YOU see”, featuring a futuristic vision of the lives of young people, across Europe and the wider world, based on, for example, research, social trends, policy planning, changing demography, employment prospects, sustainable development, and security.
Abstracts of 300 words for proposed papers between 3000 and 6000 words are invited from policy makers, practitioners and researchers. The editors will consider papers that are concerned with particular youth issues or more cross-cutting themes. The editors will also consider a focus on one particular country as well as more transnational and comparative perspectives.
The Yearbook/series will be seeking to produce a critical debate within and across various ‘ spaces’, fields and themes (for example, north and south, education and the labour market, or social integration). Particular attention will be paid tensions and contradictions within and between policy and practice, rhetoric and reality.
The deadline for abstracts is the end of September 2012. By the end of October, full contributions will be commissioned with a deadline of the end of December. It is envisaged that the Yearbook will be published in the spring/summer of 2013.
