"Short+Sweet Delhi 2012"

3rd edition of Worlds' largest 10 minute theatre festival in Delhi. In the beginning of the season we are running 10-minute theatre workshops in Delhi for writers, directors and actors in collaboration with ‘Experiments in Pedagogy’ Program of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art. 

The workshop will be conducted by Manav Kaul, leading Hindi playwright and Deepak Dhamija, festival director of Short and Sweet Delhi. This is a great opportunity to learn skills in the exciting and innovative genre of short-form theatre, and to prepare yourself for our next Short+Sweet Festival in Delhi in November.

About festival:-
Short+Sweet Theatre is the biggest festival of ten minute theatre in the world! (www.shortandsweet.org). Its held annually in 5 countries Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand & India. Each year Short+Sweet Theatre presents over 300 of the best ten minute plays from local and international writers in festivals worldwide. In Delhi, 2012 will see 3rd edition of the S+S festival. In 2011, 40 plays were staged over 9 nights and across 3 venues.

Manav Kaul - Founder of theater group ‘Aranya’, is Hindi theatre's most promising playwrights and directors. He has written 10 full length plays and 6 of them were nominated for META awards. His plays have bagged 3 META awards including Best Playwright award for "Peele Scooterwala Aadmi". He has also featured as the main lead in the children’s film “Jajantram Mamantram”, Marathi feature film “Saat chya aat gharat”, Hindi films "1971" and "Daayein ya Baayein".

Deepak Dhamija - Founder of Shoelace productions and festival director for Short and Sweet Delhi. He has written 5 plays and directed over 15 plays. He bagged best script award in Short and Sweet Delhi for his plays "confessions of a poet" and "Kutte" in 2010 and 20
