[Reader-list] Mined to death_An Elegy

Dear All,

Due to the rampant and extensive mining resulting out of the unholy
nexus between the state, the industrialists and capitalists, the
rivers in the Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya have turned deep blue;
effluents from the mines and cement factories have killed all fish and
aquatic life in them. Please read, comment on and share this article
which highlights an important issue from a state that still remain
marginalised in the national conciousness.
