(1) girl has every right to express her feelings
(2) ransacking her uncle's clinic was absolutely wrong on part of shivsainiks

but,

(1) this was certainly not the right time to say so
(2) from amitabh to nitin desai and from lata mangeshkar to madhur bhandarkar, all rushed to 'matoshri' bunglow the moment they heard that 'balasaheb was critical' - can it happen 'out of fear'?
person of amitabh (or lata's) stature need not have to get scared of anybody.
amitabh was present at shivteerth also and paid homage to balasaheb - which can happen only out of love.
if the girl does not understand this fact then i must say she is a fool. this is the classic case of misinformation - thanks to 'balasaheb bashing' prog. continuously carried out by media
interestingly, same media was giving live coverage of his funeral as it was getting more 'trp' than cricket match,( naturally attracting more advertisements) - simply because crores of people were watching this coverage.
do you think 'shivsainks' can force these crores of maharashtrians, indians moreover 'hindus' to see the coverage?

balasaheb was the only leader who always stood by hindus and had guts to openly criticise 'socalled secularism' practiced in india  - he was the 'hinduhriday samrat' in true sense.

So, this is the level Indian democracy has fallen to (besides the
entire media, politicians, film industry licking singing to the tune
of a goon):

21-year-old girl held for Facebook post questioning Mumbai's 'Bal
Thackeray shutdown'

Mumbai Mirror | Nov 19, 2012

MUMBAI: Police on Sunday arrested a 21-year-old girl for questioning
the total shutdown in the city for Bal Thackeray's funeral on her
Facebook account.

Another girl who 'liked' the comment was also arrested.

The duo were booked under Section 295 (a) of the IPC (for hurting
religious sentiments ) and Section 64 (a) of the Information
Technology Act, 2000. Though the girl withdrew her comment and
apologized, a mob of some 2,000 Shiv Sena workers attacked and
ransacked her uncle's orthopaedic clinic at Palghar, north of Mumbai.

The 21-year-old arrested for her Facebook post was among many who
aired opinions on social networking sites.

"Her comment said people like Thackeray are born and die daily and one
should not observe a 'bandh' (city shutdown) for that," Police
Inspector Uttam Sonawane told the Mumbai Mirror.

Despite widespread concerns, there were no reports of unrest in Mumbai
itself on the day of Bal Thackeray's crematon.,

In recent months, the country has shown sensitivity to criticism of
its politicians, sparking criticism in turn from freedom of speech
campaigners.

In September, campaigners were outraged by the arrest in Mumbai on
charges of sedition of a cartoonist for his anti-corruption drawings.
The charges were later dropped.
