British Council is hosting a six-day residential workshop on drama in education with a focus on engaging with Shakespeare, with facilitators from the Royal Shakespeare Company, UK. This skills development initiative is for theatre practitioners who have experience with and are currently engaged in training young people in drama education, either as part of a course curriculum or through stand-alone workshops. The workshop will develop your skills as a drama educator to train young people to better understand Shakesperaean text and performance.
If you are a 'theatrewallah' and have been regularly facilitating drama workshops for children for at least a year, APPLY NOW!
Deadline for applications is 10 December 2013
Final participants will be contacted by 25 December 2013
The workshop will take place in the serene campus of Adishakti in Pondicherry from 17 to 22 January 2014 and participants would be expected to arrive a day early, i.e. 16 January.
Fee: INR 3000
This is inclusive of facilitator fees, accommodation (on sharing basis) and all meals for the duration of the workshop. Participants will need to make their own arrangements to and from Adishakti.
