Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards announces itsnext edition, META 2014
 
To recognize and reward the best in Indian theatre,The Mahindra and Mahindra group is proud to present META (Mahindra Excellencein Theatre Awards) for the ninth consecutive year. The onlyaward of its kind, META is designed to showcase the best in theatre beingproduced in India.
 
The objective of META is to encourage all aspectsof theatre craft such as playwriting, set, costume and light design, direction andperformance. The Mahindra Excellence In Theatre Awards has been institutedby the Mahindra Group, in continuation of their commitment to promotingtheatre.
  
In its ninth year, the call for entries invitingthe best theatre from all over the country has begun. 
An esteemed selection committee who shortlist tenplays views all the entries, once deemed eligible. The shortlisted plays arethen put up for nominations under different categories. The shortlisted playsare staged over one week as part of the festival, ending in the awards night,where a curated jury will decide winners.
