[Reader-list] Meeting at Coffee House on Police Crackdown on Anti POSCO struggle

Dear Friends and Comrades,



You most all be aware of the brutal police crackdown on Anti-POSCO struggle
in the we hours of 3rd February, Sunday. The crackdown was really
horrifying because the police not only Lathi Charged the peaceful
protestors including ruthlessly beating up women and children. Many women
and children are seriously injured. All this happened in front the district
collector and S.P.



We want to reiterate that the POSCO project is totally illegal and
anti-people, whose land acquisition process has been struck down by the
national green tribunal and various expert committees set up by ministry of
environment and forest have strongly recommended against the projects. A
peaceful mass movement has been going on the proposed POSCO project since
past 8 years. Which has been always dealt by police high handedness.



In the light of the above and the recent police crackdown on the protestors
and ruthless beating of women and children. The POSCO PROTIRODH SOLIDARITY
DELHI request all the progressive democratic organizations and civil
society groups to meet at  Coffee house, Mohan Singh Place, Connaught Place
on at 5.30 pm, 5th February, Tuesday, 2013. To make future plans about
possible solidarity action for in support of anti POSCO struggle.
