[Reader-list] Tryst with Loss

Dear All,

What I really want to know and understand is how the masters or the
makers and breakers of literary world gauge the quality of poetry? I
know when I read a bad poem. My instinct tells me that. But some of
the universally accepted great poems, actually doesn't convey its
greatness or brilliance to me. I am also not sure if poems, the great
ones, should have a universal appeal? Or are poems and poets are just
brilliant in their own respective cultural microcosms.
