Dear Friends,



The government of Odisha has deployed heavy force in the proposed POSCO
project area at Jagatsinghpur district. This action of the government
exhibits the utter disregard to the order of National Green Tribunal which
have put the project on hold on environmental and forest rights ground on 30
th March 2012.


The Government has abdicated its Constitutional role as the protector of
the rights of the people and has become an lawless agency that the people
require protection from.


Meanwhile our democratic protest is continuing in the Govindpur village
boarder opposing the POSCO project.


At this juncture, we request you to please call and write to the following
authorities to withdraw the deployment of police force from our area
immediately.
