Dear documentary professional,

Summer is here and we would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the upcoming IDFA dates and industry deadlines before you leave your office for a summer break. The 26th edition of IDFA, one of the leading documentary events in the world, will take place from November 20–December 1, 2013 in Amsterdam. IDFA Forum for the co-financing and co-production of documentaries takes place November 25–27 and Docs for Sale, the leading marketplace for creative documentaries, is scheduled for November 22–29. The online version of Docs for Sale runs all year long.

We look forward to receiving many fresh, new documentaries and projects!

Best regards,

Adriek van Nieuwenhuyzen
Head of Industry Office

Call for Entry: IDFA Forum

IDFA Forum offers producers the opportunity to pitch their selected projects to leading professionals in the global documentary industry, including commissioning editors, funds, financiers and distributors. This year, in addition to the Central and Round Table pitches, we are introducing two new pitch categories to increase opportunities for producers and financiers alike. All pitch categories focus on introducing the projects to industry experts, shaping the path your project will follow as well as its potential for success.

New categories
The Docs4Cinema Meetings are designed for documentary projects suitable for theatrical release. Producers looking for co-producers and distributors are invited to submit their projects. The selected projects will benefit from one-on-one meetings with producers interested in co-production, distributors and even funds.
The Work in Progress Screenings offer selected filmmakers the opportunity to receive professional feedback from Forum delegates in the audience. They offer TV buyers, sales agents, distributors and/or festival programmers the chance to preview new and exciting projects that are potentially interesting for acquisition.

The deadline to submit your documentary project to IDFA Forum is September 1, 2013. For more information on regulations and how to submit your project, please visit www.idfa.nl/idfaforum.

Call for Entry: Docs for Sale

We would like to invite you to submit your documentary to Docs for Sale (Online). The next deadlines are:
