[Reader-list] Calling films for Preview at ViBGYOR short & documentary film festival

Greetings!  

Welcome to the 9th Edition of ViBGYOR InternationalFilm Festival for Short & Documentary films, to be held in Thrissur,Kerala, India from February 11-15, 2014. You may submit your films (documentary/ short-fiction/ music video/ animation/spot/ experimental) that pertain to any `spectrum’ (see below) for SELECTIONPREVIEW. An eminent panel of Jury will select the final set of films forscreening in the Open Category at ViBYOR-2014. 

The last date for film submission is November 30th, 2013.

Film Spectrum
One may submit films under the following packages:
1.    FOCUS OF THE YEAR
2.    ViBGYOR THEME PACKAGE/S
3.    KERALA SPECTRUM

-The theme for the `Focus of the Year-2014’ package is ‘Gender Justice’. 

-Under the ViBGYOR package, there are seven themes, namely: 1) Identities 2) Rights 3) Gender &Sexualities 4) Fundamentalism &Diversity 5) Developmentalism 6)Nation State and 7) Culture & Media. 
-UnderKerala Spectrum package, whichshowcases documentary films based on `Kerala’ themes, short fiction and`Focus-Children’ films, only films made by filmmakersresiding in Kerala will be considered.
i)    Only films produced and released after 1stJanuary 2012 will be considered in the OpenCategory. Films submitted to earlier editions will not be accepted.
ii)  There is an EntryFee of INR.300 forNational/Kerala Spectrum entries (inside India) and $10 for `International’entries. You may submit more than one film, but each entry should comply withall submission requirements.
iii) Go to`Register New Film’ link under `Submit Your Film’ and provide with allmandatory information (marked with *), regarding each film entry (if registrationis interrupted there is provision to resume; Log in and complete film entry)
iv)  Don’t forget to upload a high resolution still (not less than 2MB) from your film/s. We needone high quality film still (grabbed from your film) and a photograph of the director/s, for promotion and publicity purposes.
v)    Two DVD copiesshould be submitted for Selection Preview purpose. Please contact us in caseyou need any special request regarding preview.
vi)  If your film is selected, you could send higher formats asExhibition copy, for which please speak to our Film Department.
vii) Send thefilm submission packets to: ViBGYOR, 2nd Floor KalliathSquare, Palace Road, Thrissur, 680 020, Kerala, India. Tel. 9447000830/ 9447893066 Please mention your OnlineFilm Entry Registration number onall discs, packets and in all further communications.
viii)                There are no Awards for National/ International entries. 
ix)  The KeralaSpectrum-Short Fiction is a Competitive category with cash prizes (INR 25,000). We also grant THREE Film Fellowships to three young filmmakerswhose films are entered under the National/ Kerala Spectrum sections.
x)    The filmmaker/s representative of all selected films areinvited to attend the festival and assured of local hospitality. (ViBGYOR isnot in a position to pay for travel expenses).
