CALL FOR PROTEST AGAINST GANG RAPE OF A WOMAN IN A POLICE STATION IN UTTAR
PRADESH


Dear friends and comrades,

Let us unite and raise our voices against the continuing incidents of
sexual assault in Uttar Pradesh.

On Monday, the 9th of June, a woman was raped inside the Sumerpur police
station of Hamirpur district. She had gone to inquire about her husband who
was detained inside. The SHO has been arrested. She was raped by a sub
inspector and three constables. Only recently, the role of police
negligence and complicity was exposed in the case of the two Dalit girls
who were gang raped, murdered and hung from a tree in Badayun.

PLEASE GATHER TOMORROW FRIDAY JUNE 13TH AT SHARP 3PM AT UP BHAVAN
LET US DEMAND AN END TO THIS CONTINUING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN UP!
