Nirankusha: Fearless, Speak is a free speech themed festival featuring visual exhibitions and performances organized by Alternative Law Forum, in collaboration with Maraa and Suresh Kumar happening in November, 2014 in Bangalore. The festival celebrates the insurmountable power of fearless speech, its freedom and truthfulness. Stepping away from a monolithic form of communication, Nirankusha exhibitions the fact that fearless speaking and listening belongs to everyone and is not just a formal address but could be anything from a rowdy’s shout to a scared whisper. The festival includes a series of events, which declare to the world, as Salman Rushdie would say, that we belong to the world of Gup (chatter) and not Chup (quiet)
