This book is a contemporary history of environmental issues in Delhi. It traces the journey from 
the engagement with sanitary matters in the nineteenth century to issues of air and water pollution, 
waste and toxicity in contemporary Delhi.

Mahesh Rangarajan is the Director of Nehru Memorial Museum & Library.
 
Kaveri Gill is Chief Economist at Oxford Policy Management, New Delhi.
 
Ravi Sundaram is Professor at Centre for the Study of Developing Societies.
 
Shahid Amin is a Professor of History at University of Delhi.
