FINAL ENTRY DEADLINE IS March 15, 2015:
Entry fee is $15 after January 15. Payment, online registration form, and film must be submitted by March 15 to qualify. Entries submitted after March 15 will not be accepted.


March-April 2015:

Judging by a panel of global film experts. 
Entries will be narrowed for a total of five semi-finalists whose films will be shared globally. (The judges reserve the right to reduce the number of semifinalists/finalists pending adequate number of entries.) One winner of the contest will be selected.


May 2015:

The winner and top five semi-finalists will be announced via email and online. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the school of his/her choice.



Important Details

Films accepted for competition by full-time students between the ages of 16-24. All material must be copyright free, original and relate to cultural intelligence. (Be careful about showing items with brand names – see contest rules below.) Films will be made available to a global community of cultural intelligence trainers and other affiliates.


The purpose of the film contest is to highlight the talent of today’s global youth and to inspire young adults to develop cultural intelligence.


Registration form, talent release forms, and registration fee must be submitted with a link to the film. Please be sure to give your film a title/name.

Contest Rules



Only one film entry per individual.


Entries must be submitted by one individual. Students may collaborate with other peers to create the film but entries must but only one prize will be awarded per entry. Student may use video or animation.


Entry must be submitted with a registration form, talent release form, payment, and a link to the film.


Films must be submitted with a name/title, and submitted digitally in one of the following formats: .avi (Audio Video Interleave File), .mpeg (MPEG movie), .mov (Apple QuickTime Movie),
 or .wmv (Windows Media Video File).

The CQ Your World Student Film Contest is open to all full-time students between the ages of 16 and 24. Employees and family members of employees of the Cultural Intelligence Center are not eligible.


All entries must be submitted with a signed release form for each individual involved with creating or producing the public service announcement. This includes any on-camera actors and voiceover announcers. (This form can be found under the registration and forms button.)


The film should not show consumption of alcohol, drugs or tobacco.


The target audience for this competition is students in between ages 16-24. Your entry should be age appropriate for a global audience.


All brand name labels should be removed from props and clothing.


You may not use any images that have copyrights. This includes: photographs, film footage, photos from the Internet and in magazines. All movie, videogame and television footage is protected.


Entries submitted will not be returned. They may be duplicated edited and exhibited for educational or promotional purposes.


No copyrighted music can be used.


After you produce your film, complete the online entry form and talent release form(s) and submit your forms and a link to your film.


Entries received after the deadline date will be disqualified.
