[Reader-list] The Arshinagar Project in February - Kerala, Bangalore and More

                    January started with a fantastic five-day Butoh
intensive with the master, Rhizome Lee, in the magical setting of Tepantar
Theatre Village. We also had Uttam Das Baul leading voice work - all in all
a truly transforming five days amid earth, river and sky. At the end of the
workshop, we presented a performance, "Oneness", on January 11th at the
Proscenium Art Centre in Kolkata. You can read about the performance in

Right after this, we played host to the legendary Jean- Jacques Lemêtre,
music director of  Le Théâtre du Soleil

from January 16th to 18th. Jean-Jacques led a workshop, "The Musical Body",
which was attended by actors and musicians from Kolkata and gave us an
insight into his working methods. On the final day, he also made a

February will find us in the southern parts of India.We are teaming up with
Innerspace Little Theatre, Irinjalakuda, Kerala, for an intensive
performance laboratory which will be led by Arka Mukhopadhyay. It will take
place in Walden Pond House, the beautiful base of Innerspace Little Theatre
in Irinjalakuda. from February 9th - 12th. It'll bring together an
extraordinary group of artists, who will explore the very special energies
of night-time work through a rigorous psycho-physical investigation of

Arka will also be performing "If It Be Now - Fragments and Impressions of
Hamlet" at the beautiful space of Paradigm Shift in Bangalore on the 14th
of February at 7:30 PM. This is the only show of the piece planned in

who will be hosting a two-day workshop on the 14th and 15th of February, to

legendary Nicolas Nunez, one of Grotowski's principal post-theatrical
