Both Marx and Ambedkar with their thoughts and action have inspired
struggles for emancipation from exploitation and oppression. While the
resistance movement of the oppressed people in general appears to have
received huge set back all over the world, on account of multi-dimensional
assaults from Neoliberalism since 1980s, in India, which could be taken as
an ideal place for such movements to flare up, they are particularly in
hopeless state. Both of them, Marxists and Ambedkarites, appear objectively
to have been unable to thwart or take on the challenges posed by
Neoliberalism. In this context, it becomes pertinent to examine their
basics: respective conception and theories of knowledge provided by Marx
and Ambedkar in order that they possibly give direction for formulating
strategies and tactics that can match those of the adversary classes in
these fast changing times.
