ABOUT US


Stories have a special place in human society. Good stories can inspire and move people to act.


TERI and the U.S. Consulate General Mumbai have come together to gather stories of unsung Green Heroes from India’s western region. We are looking for young filmmakers, photographers, video editors, writers and activists who can tell powerful stories of individuals or communities, who have done commendable work in protecting the environment in their neighbourhoods or beyond.


For a world that is faced with the challenge of converting the promises of Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement into practice, these stories will have special significance. They need to spread far and wide, so that the actions of a few can become the actions of many and help in making the world more habitable and humane. 


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS



Applicants must be 18+
Applicants with background in environmental studies, mass communication, journalism, photography, filmmaking would be preferred.
Applicants must be fluent in English or Hindi.
NGOs/Corporate organisations working in the field of environment and sustainability can nominate professionals from their communication and documentation teams
There is no entry fee for participating in the storytelling and filmmaking workshops.
