Kathakali, 1991- 26 minutes.
A Kathakali school in Kerala. The film follows the rhythm of life at the school, their dance practice and the intense training they and their body and mind undergoes to become accomplished Kathakali artists.
Shot at the PSV Natya Sangam in Kottacal.This film was produced by LA SEPT and was screened on French television.
This will be followed by a discussion with the Filmmaker, Renuka George herself.

Kader Attia (b. 1970, France), grew up in Paris and in Algeria, lives and works between Berlin and Paris. For many years, he has been exploring the perspective that societies have on their history, especially as regards experiences of deprivation and suppression, violence and loss, and how this affects the evolving of nations and individuals — each of them being connected to collective memory.
