On 17 May 2017, Narmada Control Authority, headed by Secretary, Ministry of
Water Resources is meeting to take decision on closing the gates of the
Sardar Sarovar Dam. If NCA decides to close the gates, then we fear a
massive flooding in the Narmada Valley. Nearly 40,000 families are still
living in the submergence area. People from Narmada Valley are all set to
hold protest before the office of NCA, Indore, from 15th till 17th May
2017. The
protest in Delhi tomorrow extends solidarity to the people’s movement of
the Narmada valley and demands transparency from the government before
taking any such decision that endangers the lives of lakhs of people.



To stop this inhuman act from being executed Narmada Bachao Andolan needs
your support. Please join us to extend your support and solidarity on 17
May 2017 at 10:30 am.
