[Reader-list] Graffiti as art, sure... but ...

Just saw this interesting link[1] on slashdot[2] - a graffiti artist was
hired by a commercial company to put artwork and advertisements up for
them on walls in inner city Leeds. Ho hum, right ?

Only thing is, Paul "Moose" Curtis doesn't use paint. He uses detergent.
What he did was to take a section of wall under a grimy flyover and
clean it selectively - so that it shows a promo for his client,
Smirnoff. Since he's cleaned the wall and not painted it over, the
picture will fade over time and become just like any unpainted wall.

The city council calls this sheer vandalism of course. No kidding. Since
we don't need a lot of expensive paints in spray cans to do this, maybe
we could do this in India easily ? Who knows... :)
